Brewton BR 14s to begin play at state Saturday in Monroeville

The Brewton Babe Ruth 14-year-old all-star team will not have far to go for their state tournament games as they will head to Monroeville Saturday to begin play.
Brewton, runner-up in their district tournament to Monroe County, will be one of 10 teams in the tournament.
Brewton will be one of five teams in the West Division pool and will be joined by Wetumpka, West Alabama, Mims Park, and Millbrook. In the five-team North Division pool will be Huntsville, Monroe County, Sylacauga, Elba and Satsuma.
The tournament will begin Saturday and last through Tuesday, July 17.
Tournament games will be played at Monroeville’s city fields—Veterans Park— and at Monroe County High School. North Division pool games will be played at Veterans Park while West Division pool games will be plated at Monroe County High School
Games will be played at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
Saturday and Sunday’s games will see games at both parks at above times while Monday’s games will just see one game at the scheduled times.
Brewton will begin play Saturday at 4 p.m. against Millbrook at Monroe County High School.
Other games Saturday include Huntsville and Sylacauga playing at 10 a.m. at Veterans Park while Wetumpka and West Alabama will play at Monroe County High School.
At 1 p.m., Elba and Satsuma will play at Veterans Park while Mims Park and Millbrook will play at Monroe County High School. While Brewton is taking on Millbrook at 4 p.m., Monroe County and Satsuma will play.
The 7 p.m. games will see Elba and Huntsville play at Veterans Park while Wetumpka and Mims Park play at Monroe County’s field.
On Sunday, Brewton will play at 10 a.m. against Wetumpka at Monroe County. Brewton’s second game Sunday will be at 7 p.m. against Mims Park.
Other Sunday games include, Huntsville and Monroe County at 10 a.m. at Veterans Park, West Alabama and Mims Park at 1 p.m. at Veterans Park, Sylacauga and Elba at 1 p.m. at Monroe County High School, Satsuma and Sylacauga at 4 p.m. at Veterans Park, West Alabama and Millbrook at 4 p.m. at Monroe County High School and Monroe County and Elba at 7 p.m. at Veterans Park.
Monday, Brewton will take on West Alabama at 1 p.m. at Monroe County High School.
Other Monday games include Millbrook and Wetumpka playing at 10 a.m. at Veterans Park, Huntsville and Satsuma at 4 p.m. at Veterans Park, and Sylacauga and Monroe County playing at 7 p.m. at Monroe County High School.
On Tuesday, the single elimination tournament will begin with the No. 2 seed from the North division pool taking on the No. 1 seed from the West Division pool at 10 a.m. At 1 p.m., the No. 2 seed from the West will take on the No. 1 seed from the North.
The championship game will be played at 6 p.m.
All single elimination tournament games will be played at Veterans Park.
