Mr. James O’Neal Black, 75, died Tuesday, July 31, 2012 in Bratt. He was a native of Brewton and a resident of Bratt for the past 21 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army in Vietnam, and was retired from the Fountain Correctional Facility. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Otto Black, H.H. Black, Carl Black, Wilmer Black and Donnie Black.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Faye Black of Bratt; a son, Jamie (Michele) Black of Atmore; two daughters, Vicki Hunt of Atmore, and Kristi Crawford of Navarre, Fla.; two sisters, Doris Wilson of Spanish Fort,  and Deloris Vance of Wickliffe, Ken.; four grandchildren, Blake McCall, Ashlynn McCall, Chelsea Black and Chirstian Black; and Numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 3, at 11 a.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Odom officiating and Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home of Atmore, directing.
