As summer break winds down for Escambia County students, most county schools are planning an open house event to welcome students back to school.

Open house events are planned at W.S. Neal elementary and middle schools as well as Pollard-McCall Junior High School and Flomaton Elementary for Friday, Aug. 17.

Officials at each of the schools say parents are invited to visit the school with or without the students tomeet with teachers, check on schedules, registration if needed and to deliver any supplies to the school if needed. Fees will also be collected during open house where applicable.

Most open house events are planned to begin at 1 p.m. For times specific to your school, contact the school administration office.
