Mrs. Eunice Aline Day Pettis, 86, died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012 at a local healthcare facility. She was a native and life-long resident of Brewton, worked at the Brewton Ribbon Mill for a number of years and was a member of the Jubiliee Full Gospel Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Esker Day.
She is survived by a son, Roy (Bernadine) Day of Clanton; four daughters, Joan Downs and Jan (Tommy) Miller, both of Brewton, Gina (Melton) Sheppard of Opelika, Jypsia (Wayne) Smith of Stockton; two sisters, Doris (Marvin) Crutchfield of Brewton, Muriel (Bernie) Steele of Bay Minette; a very special adopted daughter, Jeanne (Johnny)
Barnes of Brewton; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 8 at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Craver’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Reo Pugh officiating. Burial followed in Hanberry Cemetery.
