Roy Forrest Aderholt

Mr. Roy Forrest Aderholt, 69 of Prytania Circle in Navarre, died Wednesday, September 12, 2012 in a Fort Walton Beach medical facility after an extended illness. He was a native of Birmingham, and a former resident of Pell City, before moving to Navarre in 1997. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served in Vietnam, and was a member of the Lister Memorial Baptist Church in Pell City.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys Aderholt of Navarre; four sons, Brit (Cheryl) Mayfield of Omaha, Neb., Jeffrey Mayfield and Nicholas Mayfield, both of Navarre, and Craig Mayfield of Dalton, Ga,; three daughters, Jocelyn Andersen of Auburndale, Fla., Dianne Lively of Dalton, Ga., and Sarah Mayfield of Navarre; one sister, Kay Smith of Pinson, Ala.; 11 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services, with full military honors, will be held on Thursday, September 20, at 11 a.m. at Fort Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Fla., with speaker Bernie Raines officiating with Craver’s Funeral Home of Brewton directing.
