JDCC volleyball drops two games

The Jefferson Davis Community College Lady Warhawk volleyball team dropped two games in two days Tuesday and Wednesday to fall to 4-8 overall and 1-3 in conference play.
JDCC lost to Pensacola State Tuesday at home 3-1 and lost to Lawson State Wednesday on the road 3-0.
Against Pensacola State, JDCC lost the first set 25-14, set two 25-21, won set three 25-23 but lost set four 25-14.
Ki Ki Youngblood led with 12 kills and 24 total attacks. Kayla White, Amber Huskey, Victoria Bracewell and Tara Gafford all led with one service ace. White led with nine digs and Youngblood led with three solo blocks.
Against Lawson State, JDCC lost 25-21, 25-19 and 25-19.
In the loss to Lawson, Gafford led with nine kills, three service aces and two solo blocks.
Youngblood and Jennifer Daniels led with 22 total attacks. Sarah Litteken led JDCC with 10 digs.
JDCC was scheduled to host Southern Union Friday night in a conference game. The Lady Warhawks will be back in action Tuesday, Oct. 2 at Gadsden State at 4 p.m. in a conference game. JDCC will also play against Sneads State Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
JDCC will be back at home Thursday, Oct. 4 against Gadsden State at 6 p.m.
