Mrs. Elsie Lee Lassiter Wyatt, 97, of Blair Road died Saturday in a Pensacola, Fla. hospital after a brief illness. She was a native of Coffee County, and a long time resident of Brewton. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of East Brewton, a former manager of the Burnt Corn Shell Station for many years and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Harvey F. Wyatt, Harace Harrelson and Ollie Lee; her son, Gene Wyatt; three brothers, Tolie Lassiter, Albert Lassiter and Barney Lassiter; a sister, Nellie L. Howard; and a grandchild, Glenda Wyatt.
She is survived by three sons, Glenn (Mary) Wyatt, Harvey (Brenda) Wyatt, and Roger Harrelson, all of Brewton; a daughter, Lazzett Wiggins of Brewton; 15 grandchildren, Steve Wyatt, Joey (Pam) Wyatt, Jason (Holly) Wyatt, Bobby Gene Wyatt, Angie Wyatt,
Tammy Wyatt, Linda Kay Daniels, Anita (Jimmy) White,
Melissa Wyatt, Alisha (Lucas) Douglas, Vance Wiggins,
Lance Wiggins, Billy (Shannon) Bulecheck, William Harrelson and Tim Harrelson; 22 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren- Hayden, Boston,
Maddox, and Ellie.
Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 8, at 2:30 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Byrnes Pitts and Speaker Jeff Bates officiating. Burial followed in Green Acres Cemetery Brewton, Alabama with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing. Condolences may be sent and obituaries can be read at williamsmemorialchapel.com.
