J.B. Jackson

Mr. J.B. Jackson, 80, of Century, Fla., died Friday October 12, in a Pensacola hospice facility after an extended illness. He was a native of Jay, and a member of the Century community for 70 years, a U. S. Air Force veteran and a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. During his working years, he worked as a shift foreman at Exxon. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Helen Louise Jackson.
He is survived by his daughters, Terri (Mark) Fremin of Century, Julia (Stacey) Long of Dahlongea, Ga. and Debrah Jackson (Patrick) of Century; eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 16, at Tabernacle Baptist Church at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Billy Cloud and the Rev. Steve Hart officiating. Burial followed in McCurdy Cemetery. Century, with Flomaton Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Mike Carnley, Adam Johnson, Brandon Long, Matthew Thomas, Josh Butts, Shawn Long. Honorary pallbearer will be Cody Fowler.
