JDCC volleyball to play at regionals on Saturday

The Jefferson Davis Community College Lady Warhawk volleyball team will begin play in the Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC) region tournament Saturday at 9 a.m. on the campus of Gadsden State Community College.
JDCC clinched the No. 5 seed in the regional tournament and will take on No. 4 seed Sneads State. The winner of the 9 a.m. game will take on No. 1 seed Wallace State-Hanceville at noon Saturday.
The Wallace St.-Hanceville Lady Lions are the top seed for the 2012 Alabama Community College Conference volleyball tournament. The tournament features the top five teams from the ACCC along with Spartanburg Methodist of South Carolina.
No. 3 seed Gadsden State will take on No. 6 seed Spartanburg at 10:30 a.m. Saturday with the winner taking on No. 2 seed Faulkner at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
The loser of the Gadsden State/Spartanburg game will play the loser of the Wallace State Hanceville/Sneads and JDCC winner at 3 p.m. Saturday.
The loser of the Sneads/JDCC game will play the loser of the Faulkner State/Gadsden State/Spartanburg winner at 4:30 p.m.
Winners from the noon and 1:30 p.m. game will play at 6 p.m. while the winners of the 3 and 4:30 p.m. will play at 9 a.m. Sunday.
The winner of the 9 a.m. Sunday game will play the 6 p.m. Saturday game’s loser at 10:30 a.m. Sunday.
The winner of the 10:30 a.m. Sunday game will play the winner of the 6 p.m. Saturday game Sunday at noon for the regional championship.
If the loser of the championship game suffers their first loss in the noon game, a second game will be played at 1:30 p.m. to determine the champion.
