Margueritte Dewberry Mitchell

Mrs. Margueritte Dewberry Mitchell, 84, died Tuesday, Jan. 01, 2013 in a local nursing facility after an extended illness. She was a native of Conecuh County, and a former resident of Glenshaw, Penn., before moving to Brewton in 2003. She was a member of the Alco Baptist Church and a retired credit manager in the welding supply industry. She was a member of the Young Brothers Tae Kwon-Do Institue in which she achieved the second degree black belt and was a graduate of W.S. Neal High School.
She is survived by a son, James E. “Jim” Mitchell III of Sarasota, Fla.; a brother; Garvin (Jeanne) Dewberry of Prattville; a sister; Lucille Duval of Brewton; and other family members and friends.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, Jan. 5, at 2 p.m. at the Alco Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Caylor officiating. Burial will be held at a later date with Craver’s Funeral Home directing. Please share your memories and condolences with the family at www.craversfh.com.
