Mrs. Mary D. Jones, 91, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2013. She was a native and resident of Conecuh County. She was very active in her church and a foster parent for the state. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold Williams Sr. and Lizzie Barnett.
She is survived by four children, Charlie (Ann) Jones of Webb, Phillip (Peggy) Jones of Montgomery, James (Maggie) Jones of Brewton and Diane Harris of Madixon, Ala.; a sister, Annie Lois Williams of Evergreen; four brothers, Robert L. Williams and Frank (Marie) Williams, both of Pensacola, Artis (Clara) Williams of Evergreen, and Arnold Williams of Omaha, Neb.;12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 23, at 11 a.m. at Johnsonville Memorial Church of God In Christ in Evergreen with  Supertendent. W. R. Hughes and Elder Donald Pearson officiating. Burial followed at Sandy Grove Church Cemetery with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing.
