JDCC baseball loses sixth straight

The losing streak for the Jefferson Davis Community College Warhawk baseball team grew to six straight losses Saturday as the Warhawks were swept at Wallace-Dothan.
JDCC lost game one 13-3 and took a 7-6 loss in game two to fall to 9-17 overall and to 2-10 in conference play.
In game one, Dothan built an 8-0 lead through four innings and outscored JDCC 5-3 in the final innings to get the win by 10.
JDCC had nine hits in the loss and made five errors.
Daniel Dunnam was 2-for-2 for JDCC at the plate in the loss. Dillan Schaniel, Alex Jones and Michael Fox all had RBIs.
John Williams, Tyler Murphy and Scott Robertson all pitched in the loss for JDCC and allowed 15 hits, 13 runs, eight earned, walked and struck out two.
In game two, JDCC rallied from a 6-4 deficit in the seventh to tie the game, but fell to one run in the bottom of the inning to lose 7-6.
Logan Hill was 3-for-4 in the loss at the plate. Jones and Schaniel had one RBI each while Kyle Freeman had two RBIs.
Mitchell Peterson, Michael Yarborough and Joey Scapecchi all pitched in the loss.
The trio allowed 13 hits, seven earned runs, walked one and struck out nine in 6 2/3 innings.
