JDCC softball loses sixth straight

The Jefferson Davis Community College Lady Warhawk softball team saw their losing streak hit six straight Thursday when they were swept by Southern Union.
JDCC lost game one 8-0 and game two 10-2. Earlier in the week, JDCC lost to Three Rivers Community College 5-3 in game one and 4-1 in game two.
With the losses, JDCC fell to 9-24 overall this year.
JDCC will host Bishop State in a conference game today (Saturday). Game times are set for 1 and 3 p.m. in Brewton.
Southern Union sweeps JDCC:
In game one Elissa Kelly took the loss going four innings and allowed nine hits, one walk and six earned runs in an 8-0 loss.
Kayla Watson was 1-for-2 and Paige Odom was 1-for-1.
In game two, a 10-2 loss, Jessica Swindle took the loss going 4 2/3 innings and allowed 11 hits, struck out one and allowed six earned runs.
Breanna Hall was 2-for-2 with a double and one RBI. Laura Zeegers was 1-for-3 and Watson was 1-for-3 with one RBI and a double.
Jennifer Fisher was 2-for-3, Mindy Walker was 1-for-3 and Swindle was 1-for-2 with a double.
Three Rivers sweeps JDCC:
Against Three Rivers, JDCC lost 5-3 and 4-1.
In game one, Paige Harwell, Morgan Agerton and Zeegars all had hits. Agerton had the lone RBI.
In game two, Agerton, Fisher, Zeegers and Sarah Beth Watkins all had hits.
Agerton, once again, had the lone RBI.
