TRM golf wins Monday home match

The T.R. Miller golf team scored another first place finish Monday at the Country Club of Brewton.
The Tigers shot a combined 173 to take first place over J.U. Blacksher’s 190 that earned the Bulldogs a second place finish. Monroe County shot a 193 for third place and Excel shot a 199 for fourth place. W.S. Neal scored a 281 for fifth.
Leading T.R. Miller Monday was Rob Stokes’ 41 followed by Troy Hart (42) and Will Smith (45). Yancey Jernigan also shot a 45 for the Tigers. Chandler Brown scored a 46 and Mac Campbell shot a 52. Tylan McDonald scored a 53 for the Tigers.
Zack Haveard led W.S. Neal with a 65 followed by TyAnthony Alexander’s 72.
T.R. Miller will play again Monday, April 22, in Monroeville. The Tigers are scheduled to play against Monroeville, J.U. Blacksher and Excel.
The Tigers will compete at sectionals Monday, April 29.
