Congressman Jo Bonner made a stop in Brewton Wednesday as he continued his 14-city tour across the first congressional district of Alabama — the district he calls home.

In his address to civic, government and community leaders from around Brewton and East Brewton, Bonner said he hoped to see the Airbus grow in Mobile County and spread throughout the region and impact Escambia County as well.

“I don’t want all the jobs to be in Mobile,” Bonner said. “I want this to be the halo effect and spread out to make a regional and national impact. I want to do everything I can so that Brewton, Monroeville, Flomaton, Atmore and Jackson get jobs. We’re gonna leave no town left behind.”
