Thursday morning sees two wrecks in area

Thursday morning was a busy morning for local fire and rescue and paramedic teams as two wrecks had teams scattered across the county.
At 8 a.m. Thursday morning, crews were called to a single-vehicle accident at Performance Tires in Brewton.
Brewton Fire Department, Brewton Police Department and D.W. McMillan Hospital’s ambulance services responded to the scene.
The driver of the vehicle refused transport to the hospital.
At 8:30 a.m., crews were called out again to a single-vehicle rollover on Appleton Road near Tippens Eddy road as Dodge Ram truck overturned on the driver’s side door and had debris scattered alongside the road.
Brewton Fire Department, Brewton Police Department, Appleton Fire Department, Escambia County Sheriff’s Department and D.W. McMillan Hospital’s ambulance services responded to the scene.
The driver of the truck was transported by ambulance from the scene.
No other information from Thursday’s two wrecks were known as of press time.
The wrecks came 16 hours after two people were injured Wednesday afternoon in a two-vehicle wreck on U.S. 31 south of the Georgia-Pacific mill around 4 p.m..
A driver and passenger from a Ford Explorer, which overturned after colliding with another vehicle, were injured and transported to D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital.
Information about their injuries was not available.
Brewton police, Brewton firefighters, McCall volunteer firefighters, state troopers and Escambia County sheriff’s deputies were on the scene.
