Mrs. Beatrice Hawkins, age 85, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2013 at a local hospital. Mrs. Hawkins was a native and life long resident of Brewton. She worked as a greeter at Wal-Mart for 22 years, and was a longtime member of the Gold Star Wives of America. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by a son, Ray Hawkins of Brewton; one brother, Pete (Hazel) Singleton of Brewton; a sister, Dorothy Jean (John) Jernigan of Mobile; and a number of nieces, nephews and other family members.
A memorial service will be held on a later date with Craver’s Funeral Home directing.
