Mr. Louis Lester Pontiff, 74, died Wednesday, May 29, 2913, in Brewton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Adolph Pontiff Sr. and Agnes Duplechin Pontiff; a son, Mitchell Louis Pontiff; three brothers, Chester Pontiff, Ronald Pontiff and Luke Pontiff Sr.; and three sisters, Modest Quebedeaux, Alice Pontiff and Elaine Pontiff.
He is survived by two sons, Troy Pontiff of Sorrento, La. and Julian Pontiff of Cecilia, La.; four daughters, Phyllis Marks of Pecarierre, La., Reba Mendanhall of Seymour, Tenn., and Kelly Pontiff and Tiffany Pontiff, both of Panama City, Fla.; a brother, Adolph Pontiff, Jr. of Arnaudville, La.; two sisters, Margine Ella Latiolais and Mary Lee Lagrange, both of Arnaudville; seven grandchildren, Casey Marks, Kristy Pontiff, Ashley Pontiff, Noah Pontiff, Nick Pontiff, Owen Pontiff and Kaison Wombles; four great-grandchildren and a good friend and caretaker, Lisa Pontiff of Brewton.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, June 1, at 11 a.m. at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville with the Rev. Keenan W. Brown officiating. Burial followed at St. John Francis Regis Mausoleum in Arnaudville with Pellerin Funeral Home directing..
