Lillian Mildred McCurdy

Mrs. Lillian Mildred McCurdy died June 22, 2013. She was a native of Geneva but had been a resident of Century since 1943, coming from Jay, Fla. She retired from Sheltex Corporation with 57 years of service and she was a member of the Century Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jean McCurdy Grantham; a great-granddaughter, Grayton Karleigh Creekbaum; her sisters, Eloise Burdick Linzy and Louise Burdick Gentry; a brother; Joseph Floyd Burdick; and a niece, Betty Burdick Gatwood.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Leonard McCurdy of Century; a daughter, Ginger (Charles) McCurdy Rumbley of Pensacola Beach, Fla.; her grandchildren Leigh (Travis)Rumbley Creekbaum of Birmingham and Lauren Alexandria Grantham of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; her great-grandchildren, Gray Kennedy Creekbaum and Jayce Daniel Nisewonger; a son-in-law; Bill Grantham of McDavid, Fla.; a niece; Linda (Jack) Linzy Carden of Jay; and nephews; Bruce Ray (Mary Jim) Linzy and Joe Max (Elaine) Linzy both of Jay.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 25, at 11 a.m. at the Century Church of Christ with Minister Jesse Claunch officiating. Burial followed at Ray’s Chapel Cemetery in Bogia, Fla. with Flomaton Funeral Home directing.
