Mr. Edward Joseph “Joey” Allen, 25, of McGougin Road, died Monday, July 8, 2013 from injuries sustained in a automobile accident. He was a native of Mobile, and a life long resident of Brewton. He was a member of the L Pond Church of Christ, a graduate of W.S. Neal High School, and was employed as a cook at Donut Delight.
He is survived by his father, Earl Allen of Mobile; his mother, Robin Allen of Brewton; a brother, Morgan Allen of Brewton; a sister, Virginia Allen of Mobile; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services were held Friday, July 12, at 10 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Minister Steve Parker officiating. Burial followed in Weaver Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
