Mr. Charles Franklin Beasley, 79, of Green Avenue, died Wednesday, July 31, 2013 in a Pensacola, Fla., hospital after an extended illness. He was a native of Covington County and had been a long time resident of Escambia County, coming from Brooks. He worked for T.R. Miller Mill Company for over 40 years prior to his retirement. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church for over 50 years and attended East Brewton Church of God. He was a long time member of the Ridge Road Volunteer Fire Department. He was preceded in death by his parents, King and Clara Beasley; his wife of 59 years, Sarah Lucille Blair Beasley; and a daughter, Judy Morgan. His is survived by his wife, Pearl Nowling Beasley of Castleberry; three sons, Royce (Linda) Beasley of Riverview, Russell William(Geraldine) Beasley of Wallace, and Ronald (Teresa) Beasley of Callahan, Fla.; seven daughters, Sue (Lavon) Hodge, Jan Beasley, Phyllis Fuqua, and Carol (Larry) Madden, all of Brewton, Cathy (Carlos) Whitehead of Range, Elizabeth (Roy) Harrison of Flomaton, and Barbara (Will) Marshall of Burkesville, Ken.; 18 grandchildren, Brenda Fuqua, Riley Beasley, William Beasley, Terry Beasley, Nicole Jordan, Beverly Sneed, Randy Beasley, Ashley Douglas, Mandy Sapp, Gene Hardy, Dell Jackson, Julia Hardy, John Hardy, Andy Patton, Jennifer Miller, Johnny Daw, Grover Baggett, and Matthew Teirney; and 33 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the East Brewton Church of God at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 3, with the Rev. Don Cox and the Rev. Chad Griggs officiating. Burial will follow in Cooper Cemetery with Craver’s Funeral Home directing.
