Mrs. Marjorie Hart Haigler, 97, of Pineview Street, died Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at a local nursing facility after a brief illness. She was a native of Dixie, and a life-long resident of Brewton. She owned and operated Margie’s Kut and Kurl for 40 years and was a member of The Brewton First United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Weslyan Service Guild. She was preceded in death by her husband; A.G. Haigler; and two sisters; Jeanette Lynn and Catherine Ponder.
She is survived by a daughter, Barbara (Robert) Wells of Panama City Beach, Fla.; a sister, Frances Watson of Brewton; three nieces and three nephews.
A time of visitation will be held at Brewton’s First United Methodist Church on Sunday, August 25, from 2 to 3 p.m at the time of the service.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday, August 25, at Brewton’s First United Methodist Church with Dr. Ed Glaize officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery with Craver’s Funeral Home directing.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church Special Memorial Fund or to the charity of your choice.
