William Edgar ‘Ed’ Johns

Mr. William Edgar “Ed” Johns, 91, of River Falls Street, died Thursday, August 8, 2013 at his daughter’s residence in Chunchula, after a brief illness.
He was a native and long time resident of Brewton. He was a member of Alco Baptist Church, attended W.S. Neal High School, a U.S. Army veteran, and was retired from the U.S. Civil Services at Whiting Field.
He is survived by his wife, Lucile Johns of Andalusia; a son, Eddie Johns, Jr. and Richard Cowman of Pace, Fla.; two daughters, Cheryl (Jerrell) Hyde of Chunchula, and Linda Marie (James) Young of East Brewton.
Funeral services were held Sunday, August 11, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Boles and Speaker Philip Rabren officiating.
Burial followed in Fort Crawford Cemetery in East Brewton, with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
