W.S. Neal Middle School’s football team stayed perfect this season as they improved to 2-0 Thursday night with a 30-6 road win over the Monroeville Tigers.
Nate Hutchison had a touchdown for the Eagles of East Brewton as he scored on an 8-yard run. Darius Williams added two scores of 40 and 10 yards while Matt Hutchins scored on a 2-yard run.
Williams finished with 65 yards on seven carries and two touchdowns. Christian Wood had 10 carries for 50 yards while Marvin Maddox had 44 yards on six carries.
Hutchison finished with 26 yards on five carries and had one score while Hutchins finished with four carries for 20 yards and one score. Hawthorne had 12 yards on four carries in the win.
Quarterback Jacobey Hawthorne went 4-for-5 passing in the 24-point win and finished with 65 yards in the air.
Taylor Fountain had two catches for 40 yards and Hutchins had one catch for 15 yards. Hutchinson added one catch for 10 yards.
Overall in the game, W.S. Neal finished with 65 yards passing, 217 rushing yards for a total of 282 yards.
