With Halloween falling on a Thursday this year, Brewton and East Brewton will hold trick or treating on Oct. 31 this year.

Activities will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., said city clerk John Angel. Angel said Police Chief Monte McGougin had spoken to East Brewton officials, and they agreed to hold trick or treating at the same time.

In years when Halloween falls on a Wednesday or Friday night, trick or treating is often moved to accommodate church activities or football.
