Chester Calvin Smith

Mr. Chester Calvin Smith, 68 of Cantonment, Fla., died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013.
Mr. Smith was a native of Brewton and a lifetime resident of the Cantonment community, where he worked as a painting contractor. He served as a member of the United States Army and is preceded in death by his parents, Calvin Butler and Ruthie Elmer Murray Smith,and his brother, Francis Smith.
Survivors include his son, Chester Adam Smith of Wyoming; daughters, Jill (Gregory Ward) Megoloff of Pensacola, Fla., Tammy Joyce (Kenneth) Wilder of Wichita, Kan., Robin Smith of Wyoming and Valerie Smith of California; sisters, Brenda (Maynard) McMorris and Rena (Frank) Lynn, both of Pensacola, Fla.; grandchildren, Jason Moffett, Samantha Smith, Emma Smith, Kyle Farmer, Tanner Smith, Cody Spencer, Cierra Smith, Ruthie Smith, George Smith, Darla Smith, Melanie Permann, Brooke Mayo and great grandchild, Johnathan Moffett.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, beginning at noon until a 1 p.m. service time at Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joe Wesson and Jim Willis officiating.
Interment will follow in Little Escambia Cemetery, Flomaton.
