This Halloween will provide quite the “treat” for families looking for local entertainment options.
Wind Creek Casino and Hotel will officially open its new entertainment center at a 9 a.m. ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday, Oct. 31. Following the ribbon cutting, the center’s movie theater, bowling alley, arcade and other amusements will be officially open for business.
“This addition to Wind Creek Casino and Hotel will allow us to offer a larger variety of activities to our guests and families,” said Arthur Mothershed, property manager of Wind Creek Casino and Hotel.
The newly constructed entertainment center will feature five new family-oriented options. They include Wind Creek Cinema, an eight-screen, state-of-the-art, all-digital Dolby 7.1 movie theater; Strikes Bowling Alley, a 16-lane bowling alley; a 45-game arcade that will include games for all ages; Yo.Joe, a coffee and yogurt bar; and Overtime Sports Bar, a 125-seat restaurant.
“We are thrilled to be able to offer such a wonderful, family-friendly entertainment option to our community and guests,” said Tim Ramer, assistant property manager of Wind Creek Casino and Hotel.
The entertainment center will have several entrances that are separate from the casino portion of the property, meaning that visitors can take advantage of the entertainment center’s options without having to step foot in the casino. However, bowlers or moviegoers who still wish to gamble can easily walk to the casino without having to go outside.
The planned hours for the entertainment center include: Strikes Bowling Alley — Sundays through Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Fridays and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to midnight; Wind Creek Cinema — Sundays through Thursdays, 1 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Fridays and Saturdays, 1 p.m. to midnight; Overtime Sports Bar and Restaurant — Sundays through Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Fridays and Saturdays, 11 a.m. to midnight; bar closed Sunday; Yo.Joe — Mondays through Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Fridays and Saturdays, 11 a.m. to midnight; closed Sunday; arcade — Sundays through Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Fridays and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to midnight.
