Byrne defeats Young

Bradley Byrne beat Dean Young in Tuesday’s Republican congressional runoff. Byrne won 52.5 percent to 47.5 percent and now will face Democrat Burton LeFlore in next month’s general election.
The special election will be held Tuesday, Dec. 17.
