A Georgia man was killed Thursday night after he exited his vehicle on Alabama 21 north of Atmore.

After exiting his commercial vehicle to inspect it, Terry Kines, 47, of Wrightsville, Ga., was struck by a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu on Alabama 21 at the 8 mile marker, five miles north of Atmore. The accident occurred about 5:15 p.m. Thursday.

State troopers said they had no more information to release, but the accident remains under investigation.
