Mr. Russell Pevy, Sr., 80, of Riddle Road, died Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013 at a local nursing facility after an extended illness. Mr. Pevy was a native and former resident of Bradenton, Fla. before moving to Brewton seven years ago. He was a retired carpenter and a United States Army Veteran.

He is survived by two sons, Daniel Pevy of Bradenton and Russell Pevy, Jr. of Baldosta, Ga; one daughter, Mary Carmichael of Brewton; three brothers, Billy, Tolliver and Ollice Pevy; a sister, Bonny Askew; and one grandchild.

Memorial services for Mr. Russell Pevy Sr. will be held at a later date and Craver’s Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
