George Newton Pettis Jr.

Mr. George Newton Pettis, Jr., 34, of 1Bay Minette, died Dec. 10, 2013 after injuries sustained in a automobile accident.
He was a native of Fairhope and a long time resident of Brewton where he attended W.S. Neal High School and was later employed as an electrician at the Chevron Refinery. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
He was preceded in death by his step-son, Richard Earl Sims Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Gail Pettis of Bay Minnette; two sons, Jim Bodtke, Jr. of Daphne and Ben Richard Bodtke of N.D.; one daughter, Tabitha Sims Pittman of Loxley; two brothers, George Michael Pettis of Daphne and Elec Wayne Pettis of Mobile; one sister Pennie Pettis of Brewton; two step brothers, Tommy Lee of Tallahassee, Fla. and Brian Lee of Mo.; nephews and nieces, Cameron Sims, Emma Grace Neyhart, Jamisyn Bodtke, Harleigh Bodtke, Kaydence Bodtke, Braden Pittman and Serenity Pittman.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013 at 7 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Alton Stokes officiating.
