In assembly line fashion, local Girl Scout leaders helped unload hundreds of boxes of Peanut Butter Patties, Caramel Delites, Thin Mints and more at the Brewton Girl Scout Hut Wednesday afternoon.

Sales of the sweet favorites are under way now. Some Scouts sold pre-orders earlier this month, while others will be out selling the rest of the month.

More than 7,000 boxes of Girl Scout cookies were delivered to Brewton Wednesday.

Last year, local troops used their cookie money for trips to Space Camp and New Orleans, among other projects.
