Diane W. Young, 63, born Sept. 18, 1950, a native of Brewton and a resident of Eight Mile, passed away on Jan. 13, 2014.

Mrs. Young was born Sept. 18, 1950. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, daughter and friend.

She was preceded in death by parents, Willie M. and Hazel B. Williamson.

She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Tommy Young; one son, Stephen C. (Mary) Young; one daughter, Brooke (Chris) Young; two sisters, Carolyn (Ben) Jackson and Barbara (Mike) Bailey; one brother, Greg (Ronda) Williamson; five grandchildren who were the light of her life, Thomas, Lauren, Paxton, Genesis, and Stephen Christopher, Jr.; a very loved and special friend, Martha Clay LaForce; numerous loved nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Gentiva Hospice for the love and care they extended during this time.

Visitation will be held at Valhalla Memorial Funeral Home, on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Chapel services will follow at 1 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Chuck Dunn, Jason Jackson, Larry Gilmore, Brad Davis, Fillan McInnis, Brent Jones, Thomas Bryars, and Steven Dullard. Interment will be in Valhalla Memorial Gardens.
