Beth Parker Bain, 72, of Brewton, passed away Tues., Sept. 9, 2014 in a Daphne assisted living facility.

She was a lifelong resident of Brewton. She earned a master’s degree from Auburn University, and was an English teacher at T.R. Miller High School for 27 years. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority and of First United Methodist Church in Brewton.

She is survived by her husband, Lee Bain of Brewton; one daughter, Leslie (Fran) Haas of Fairhope; one brother, Phillip (Ruth) Parker of Brewton; one grandchild, Laney Haas of Fairhope; Niece, Emily Parker (Josh) Robinson of Auburn; nephew, John Phillip (Holly) Parker of Auburn; great-nieces and nephews, Livingston Robinson, Frances Ruth Robinson, Jay Parker Robinson, Anna Louise Parker, and John Dixon Parker.

Funeral services were held on Fri., Sept. 12, at 11 a.m., at First United Methodist Church in Brewton with Dr. Ed Glaize officiating. Interment followed in Union Cemetery.

Patricia Louise Booker

Brewton

 

Patricia Louise Booker, 62, passed away Mon., Sept. 8, 2014, in a Pensacola, Fla., hospital.

She was a native and lifelong resident of Brewton. She was a district manager for a commercial cleaning company and was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her parents, Leo and Louise Hammons Jr. of Brewton; one son, Keith Holland of Milton, Fla.; one brother, Leo I. (Deborah) Hammons, III of Atmore; and two sisters, Brenda (Jimmy) Brock of Brewton and Sara Clinton of Fort Worth, Texas.

Funeral services were held on Wed., Sept. 10, at 11 a.m., from the chapel of Craver’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff Edwards officiating. Interment followed in Green Acres Cemetery.

Joiner Hart

Flomaton

 

Betty Darreen Joiner Hart, 57, of Old Hwy. 31 Flomaton, passed away early Saturday morning, Sept. 13, 2014, at a local hospital after a brief illness.

She was a native of Pensacola, Fla., a longtime resident of Crestview, Fla.,, before moving to Flomaton.

She was a member of the Flomaton Pentecostal Holiness Church where she enjoyed working in the nursery and with the pre-K children. She was also very involved with Save-A-Life Program.

She is survived by her husband, Mike Hart of Brewton; three sons, Ben (Lisa) Hart of Brewton, Jake (Elizabeth) Hart of Flomaton, and Zak (Janet) Hart of Columbus, Ga.; one brother Randy (Eva) Hart of Crestview, Fla.; one sister, Donna (Dewayne) Ulrich of Pace, Fla.; five grandchildren, Anna Hart, Nivan Hart, Kane Hart, Ivy Hart and Brooks Hart; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Shelby (Becky) Hart of Crestview, Fla.

Funeral services were held on Mon., Sept. 15, at 2 p.m., at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Massingill and the Rev. Al Bethea officiating. Interment followed in Green Acres Cemetery in Brewton, with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.

Glendon Aruelius Wyatt

Glendon Aruelius Wyatt, 71, of Blair Road Brewton, passed away early Sunday morning, Sept. 14, 2014, in a local hospital after a brief illness.

He was a native and lifelong resident of Escambia County, of the Pentecostal faith and attended W.S. Neal High School. Heowned and operated Glenn’s Service Center.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Carrie Wyatt of Brewton; one daughter, Linda K. Thomas of Atmore; two grandchildren, Arron (Kristi) Thompson and Paige L. Thompson, both of Brewton; four great-grandchildren, Haidyn, Boston, Sutton and Bristol; two brothers, Harvey (Brenda) Wyatt and Roger (Joyce) Harrleson; one sister, Lazzette Wiggins, all of Brewton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Elise Wyatt; one daughter, Glenda K. Wyatt; and one brother, Gene Wyatt.

Funeral services were held on Thurs., Sept. 18, at 11 a.m., at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Byrnes Pitts officiating. Interment followed in Travis Cemetery in Brewton with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.

Winchester, Va.

 

Ida Lee Cooper Nicholson, 84, of Cattail Road Winchester, Va., passed away Sun. Sept. 7, 2014, in a Winchester, Va.. medical facility after a extended illness.

She was a native of Alabama and a longtime resident of Florida and Texas, before moving to Winchester two years ago.

She was a member of the Whats New Worship in Winchester, a former employee of the food serving industry and a homemaker.

She is survived by four daughters, Katricia Ann (Greg) Straight of Trenton, Texas, Marilyn Mushinski of Winchester, Va., Cynthia (Paul) Yancey of Winchester, Va., and Judy Moore (Roy Duleba) of Las Vegas; one son, Kenneth (Donna) Nicholson of Richardson, Texas; 29 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth E. Nicholson, and her daughter, Antoinette Marie McVeagh.

Funeral services were held Sat., Sept. 13, 2014, at 11 a.m., at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Brewton with Pastor Eric Jerkins, Speaker Robert Nicholson and Speaker Tom Straight officiating. Interment followed in Weaver Cemetery on Appleton Road with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Brewton directing.
