JDCC volleyball drops home contest to Wallace-Selma

With their regular season drawing closer to the end, JDCC’s Lady Warhawk volleyball team suffered a 3-0 home conference loss to Wallace State-Selma Monday night.
The Lady Eagles lost set one 25-23, set two 25-21, and set three 25-21.
The loss dropped the Lady Warhawks to 4-16 overall and to 2-11 in conference play. The loss was JDCC’s eighth straight loss.
In set one Monday, JDCC led 14-5 early and 23-21 late, but took the loss by two points.
Jessica Lewis had four kills and one block while Christian Divens had eight straight service points and one kill.
In set two, JDCC led 20-18 late before taking the loss by four points.
Caitlin Aldridge had two kills and two service points while Jessica Porter had three service points and one kill.
In set three, Lauren Pierce finished with five straight service points while Lewis had two kills and one service point.
Morgan Payne added three service points for the Lady Warhawks in the final set loss.
