A Brewton man is facing two counts of failure to comply with the state’s sex offender registration act.
Sheriff Grover Smith said Nicholas Dewayne Jordan, 25, applied for and
received a permit to travel for work. Jordan failed to report when the permit expired and also failed to report for his scheduled appearance for quarterly registration, Smith said.
Jordan also faces three counts of failure to appear for traffic citations. He was booked into the detention center and held without bond. Further charges are pending, Smith said.
