Bama and Auburn start BR undefeated

Through two games of the 2015 Brewton Babe Ruth season, Bama and Auburn are both 2-0 while Ole-Miss and LSU are both 0-2.
In season opening games last Monday in East Brewton, Bama edged out Ole Miss 5-4 while Auburn defeated LSU 12-0.
In last Tuesday’s games, Auburn defeated LSU 10-3 while Bama won 15-1 over Ole Miss.
Game information, stats and scores from Friday’s games were unavailable as of press time.
In Friday’s games, Bama and Auburn both won to move to 3-0 while Ole Miss and LSU fell to 0-3.
Other games for the rest of the season will be played on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday’s in East Brewton at R.T. Johnson Park due to construction at T.R. Miller’s field.
A time limit of 1:45 will be administered through games of May 28.
No time limit will be used starting with games on June 4.
This year’s Brewton Babe Ruth season has four teams: Ole Miss, Bama, Auburn and LSU.
Games will be played at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m.

Monday: Bama 5, Ole Miss 4
In their first meeting Monday, Bama edged out Ole Miss 5-4.
For Bama, Matt Hutchins pitched in the win while Landon Sims took the loss on the mound for Ole Miss.
At the plate for Bama, Weston Riddle had a single along with Hutchins, Sawyer Lewis and Daniel Blair.
For Ole Miss, O’Neil white had a double and a single to lead in the loss.
Will Reed and Drew Reed both had singles in the loss.
Monday: Auburn 12, LSU 0
The Auburn Tigers blanked the LSU Tigers in their opening game Monday.
For Auburn, Stokes Jennings had a single along with Micah Flores. Russell Smith added two singles while P.J. Lovelace had a double.
Tucker Davenport finished with a single for Auburn.
For LSU, Kristian Taylor had a single in the loss for their lone hit of the game.
No pitching stats were known for either team.
Tuesday: Auburn 10, LSU 3
Auburn moved to 2-0 and dropped LSU to 0-2 Tuesday with a 10-3 win.
For the Tigers of Auburn at the plate, Jennings had two singles while Flores had one and Lovelace had one.
For LSU, Williamson led with three singles while Matt Smith finished with one. Jason Konsler added a single in the loss.
No pitching stats were known for either team.
Tuesday: Bama 15, Ole Miss 1
Jacobey Hawthorne struck out 16 Rebels as Bama took down Ole Miss 15-1 Tuesday night.
For Bama at the plate, Hawthorne had a double and Weston Riddle had a single. Bosarge added a doubhle while Daniel Balir had a single.
Ole Miss had no hits in the game.
No pitching stats for Ole Miss were known as of press time.
