2 jailed on drug charges after traffic stop

A Brewton man and his girlfriend are facing drug possession charges after a weekend traffic stop.
Sgt. Patrick Caylor of the Brewton Police Department said the incident occurred when Officer Anthony Casey pulled over a vehicle driven by Jimmy “Jimbo” Benjamin Jackson for driving under the inf-luence.
“When Officer Casey was conducting a search of the vehicle, he found a prescription bottle with Mr. Jackson’s name on it,” Caylor said. “However, inside the bottle were two different types of generic Xanax of different dosages.”
Jackson and his passenger – Lisa Floyd – were charged with possession of a controlled substance. Jackson also was charged with driving under the influence.
