W.S. Neal will face regional rival UMS-Wright this Friday. UMS has owned the matchup 4-8 and won last year’s meeting between the two schools 16-38.  UMS is coming off a 28-6 win against Clarke County. Neal faced a heavy test this past week versus East Gadsden.  WSN pulled out a big win. Neal head football coach Doug Hoehn believes last week’s matchup was a help for this week’s. “We feel playing a very talented team a week before will help us,” Hoehn said. “This week we’re faced with another talented team. They have a very good tailback in No. 21. They have a talented linebacker in No. 44. UMS is the type of team that doesn’t hurt themselves. They will convert mistakes into points. We have to play sharp to compete.”

UMS-Wright is ranked number one in the state in 4A.  This will be their first game at home. They have outscored opponents 119-43.

Kick off will be at UMS-Wright at 7 p.m.
