Neal (4-1) will face Monroe County (3-2) this Friday night in a region game match-up. Monroe County is riding a three game winning streak beating Excel last week 30-20. Both teams are tied in the region at 2-1.

Neal head coach Doug Hoehn knows how big of a game this is for his team. “It’s a big game,” Hoehn said. “Monroe County is a much improved football team from last year. They have a very good quarterback so we have to contain him. He can run and throw the ball. They move the ball well on offense so we have to slow them down.”

Hoehn says on offense his team can’t hurt itself. “”We have to take care of the ball and not have turnovers,” he said. “We got to try not to get behind the chains on penalties and keep our drives moving forward.”

Last season Neal beat Monroe County 47-8 and leads the overall series 23-14-1.
