The W.S. Neal softball season ended last week in the 4A area tournament in Satsuma. Neal lost in the opening game 15-0 to UMS-Wright. Later in the week, Neal dropped its second and final game to Satusma 15-0.

Adria Barnett and Brianna Pugh were both 1-for-2 against UMS Wright in game one.

Barnett led the Lady Eagles at the plate against Satsuma going 1-for-2.

Neal head softball coach Jason Blaney said despite the result his team played strong.

“We had one or two innings get away from us,” Blaney said.

“Our bats were decent. UMS and Satsuma made some great defensive plays against us on some very hard hit balls.”
