The T.R. Miller Lady Tigers basketball team won its first two regular season versus Straughn at home, and Monroe County on the road.

 

TRM 41, Straughn 7

Behind tough defense and a dominant 19-point third quarter, Miller won in blowout fashion 41-7 over Straughn.

Kyla Bell-Barton led Miller with 10 points. Alijah Fountain had eight points.

 

TRM 51, Monroe County 34

Miller closed out the third quarter with a 36-27 lead. The Lady Tigers were able to outscore Monroe County 15-7 in the fourth to win its third game of the season.

Steely Ruzic led Miller with 17 points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals. Janazsia Nettles had 13 points, three rebounds, an assist and block. Kyla Bell-Barton had 12 points, seven rebounds and one steal.

 

Miller is 3-1 for the season. The team will next play Mon., Dec. 5, at Bayside in Daphne with tip-off at 6 p.m.
