The W.S. Neal Eagles boys’ basketball team defeated Excel 42-9 on Thursday.

Leading the team was Jacobey Hawthorne with 11 points and three rebounds. Marvin Maddox had 10 points and two rebounds. Matthew Thomas had eight points and five rebounds.

The team is 3-7 for the season.

The boys B-team suffered a 33-30 loss to Excel.

Leading the team in scoring was Aquarius Taylor with 14 points. Jordan Hails had 10 points.

The B-team is 2-3 for the season.

W.S. Neal basketball will be in action tonight against T.R. Miller at the W.S. Neal Middle School gymnasium. Games start at 4:30 p.m. with the B-team, followed by girls’ varsity, then boys’ varsity.
