Both T.R. Miller and W.S. Neal basketball will begin area tournament play next week.

Hillcrest will host the Class 3A Area No. 2 tournament for both the girls and boys.

In girl’s action, the TRM Lady Tigers will play Flomaton on Mon., Feb. 6 at 4 p.m., while host team Hillcrest will play Excel at 6 p.m. Winners of both games will matchup on Thurs., Feb. 9 at 4 p.m.

In boy’s action, the TRM boys’ varsity will play Flomaton on Tues., Feb. 7 at 5 p.m. Hillcrest will play Excel at 7 p.m. Winners of both games will matchup in the finals on February 9 at 7 p.m.

Monroe County will host the Class 4A Area No. 2 tournament for both the girls and boys.

In girl’s action, the WSN Lady Eagles will play Monroe County at 6:30 p.m. on February 9. Escambia County will play Andalusia at 3:30 p.m. Winners of both games will matchup to play on Sat., Feb. 11 at 5 p.m.

In boy’s action, WSN will play Monroe County at 7:30 p.m. on February 9. Andalusia will play Escambia County earlier in the evening at 5 p.m. Winners of both games will matchup in the finals on February 11 at 6:30 p.m.

First and second place teams of the tournaments will advance to sub regionals.
