The Coastal Alabama Sun Chiefs defeated the Coastal Alabama Warhawks 88-71 this past Thursday at home.

The Sun Chiefs led at halftime 44-31 and outscored the Warhawks 44-40 in the second half.

The Sun Chiefs were led by Keion Brown’s 22 points, five rebound, five assists and five steal night. Mike Green came off the bench to score 20 points.

Sterling Hinton, Richard Boggan and CJ Perry scored in double figures for the Warhawks. Perry led the team with 17 points. Sterling led the team with eight assists.

The Sun Chiefs shot 53 percent from the field. The Warhawks shot 44 percent.

The win for the Sun Chiefs ties the two teams at 2-5 in the conference. The Coastal Alabama Monroeville Eagles lead the conference at 7-0.

The Sun Chiefs and Warhawks will match up again in Brewton tomorrow, Feb. 9, at 7 p.m.
