The city could see up to 35 new jobs as Cashel Beams & Flooring, LLC, announced an expansion Thursday.

Broox Garrett, spokesman for the Brewton Development Authority, confirmed the company purchased the last speculative building in the city’s industrial park.

The company’s website details the flooring and siding it creates from reclaimed pine and other southern wood. The expansion will include manufacture of the company’s latest finished wood products, and will feature between 20 and 35 new hires over the next 30 months.

Garrett said the company has seen demand for their products skyrocket as reclaimed and antique wood gains popularity across the country.
