On Thursday the T.R. Miller Lady Tigers found themselves trailing Straughn 3-1 going into the bottom of the seventh inning. Mallori Floyd led off with a single to right field. Floyd later took second base on a wild pitch. Due up next was Myra Reiss. Reiss was able to reach base on a misplayed fielder’s choice. Afterwards the Straughn defense became rattled. A pass ball moved Floyd and Reiss up a base. An error at third base scored Floyd. Another error at third base scored Reiss. With the score tied 3-3, with one out, Anna Grace White stepped in the batter’s box. On the first pitch White connected for a hard ground ball up the middle to score courtesy runner Kaleigh Folsom.
White led Miller with three hits and an RBI. Floyd and Taylor Austin each had two hits. Reiss, Mary Madison Brown and Grace Ruzic each had an RBI.
