The T.R. Miller Lady Tigers were shutout by Excel on Tuesday, 8-0. The Lady Panthers grabbed an early 4-1 lead in the first inning and never looked back.

TRM pitcher Taylor Austin suffered the loss. Austin pitched four innings, allowed eight runs, five earned, on eight hits and one walk.

Mary Madison Brown had a double for Miller. Mallori Floyd, Myra Reiss and Addi Smith each had a hit.

TRM is 15-5 for the season. With the win Excel will host the area tournament later this month.

The Lady Tigers will play today, April 13, at Hillcrest. First pitch is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
