Miller defeats Pleasant Home

The T.R. Miller Lady Tigers defeated Pleasant Home Friday 6-3 to improve to 17-6 for the season.
Miller had 15 hits as a team. Taylor Austin was 3-for-4 with a home run and 3 RBIs. Steely Ruzic 2-for-4 with a home run and an RBI. Myra Reiss was 4-for-4 with an RBI. Addi Smith had stwo hits.
The Lady Tigers took the lead in the first inning on an RBI single by Reiss and two-run homer by Austin.
Pleasant Home tied the game up in the fourth inning on RBI singles by Katherine Walker and Lazorreya Coleman, and fielder’s choice.
Miller added two runs in the sixth inning on an Austin single to center field and Mary Madison Brown bunt single.
Ruzic added a run on a solo drive over the left field fence to make the final score 6-3.
Austin was the winning pitcher for the Lady Tigers. She allowed three runs, one earned, four hits and two walks. She had three strikeouts.
Miller lost earlier in the day 4-2 to Goshen. Reiss suffered the loss from the circle. The team had four hits.
On Thursday Miller defeated area opponent Hillcrest 15-0. The team had eight hits. Anna Grace White was the winning pitcher.
