John Douglas Jackson
Brewton
John Douglas “Doug” Jackson passed away Sun., April 30, 2017, in the Brewton hospital.
Graveside funeral services will be held at Catawba Cemetery were held Wed., May 3, at 11 a.m. on with Bro. Rusty Burnham and Bro. Tony McCullough officiating.
He born in Brewton and had been a resident of Montevallo for a number of years before returning to Brewton ten years ago. He was a graduate of Flomaton High School, attended Troy, graduated from Livingston University, and did extra work at U.A.B in Criminology. He taught band at Repton, Camilla, Ga, Demopolis, Livingston High, and Montevallo High. He served as Chief of Police at University of Montevallo; and retired with the City of Montevallo, where he was a chaplain with the Fraternal Order of Police. He then owned an excavating business. He was a former employee of Brewton Funeral Home when it was owned by Mr. W.O. Henderson. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Montevallo.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sammye Norton Jackson; sister, Dorothy “Dot” (Nelson) Dantzler, both of Brewton; sister-in-law: Shelby Jean Jackson of Spanish Fort; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and family members.

The Rev Harold Douglas McGraw
Brewton
The Rev. Harold Douglas McGraw, 72, passed away on Sat., May 13, 2017, at his Brewton residence.
Funeral services were held on Tues., May 16, at 2 p.m. at Zion Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. James Aubrey Wilson officiating. Interment followed in Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Craver’s Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers were Grayson Peters, Dale Hicks, Leonard Stringer, Bryan Garrett, Steve Smith and Jim Blair.
He was a life-long resident of Brewton. He was a member of the National Guard and served as a Minister of the Gospel. He was a member of Elim Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Ann McGraw and a son, Mickey McGraw, both of Brewton.

Robert Eugene ‘Bobby’ Moffett
Brewton
Robert Eugene “Bobby” Moffett, 61, of Brewton, and formerly of Theodore, traded his battle with cancer for an eternity of health and never ending joy on Wed. May 10, 2017, at his Brewton residence.
Funeral services were held on Sat., May 13, at 11:30 a.m. from the chapel of Craver’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Joey McCollough and Bro. Keith Holt officiating. Interment followed in Hanberry Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Matthew Moffett, Kevin Moffett, Joey Pettis, Justin Pettis, Chris Stringer and Keith Holt.
Honorary pallbearers were Bobby Berry and Chris Pierce.
He was a graduate of Theodore High School and worked as a manager for CVS and Big B drug stores. He was an avid Alabama fan and loved to fish. He was a born again member of the Christian faith. He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Moffett; and a half-brother, James Madden.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Brenda Kay Pettis Moffett of Brewton; three children, Jennifer (Thomas) Dubose of Brewton, Matthew (Danielle) Moffett, and Kevin Moffett, both of Mobile; six grandchildren, Morgan, Lily, Hunter and Haleigh Dubose, and Alina and Clara Moffett.
